The Royal College of Art's international reputation has attracted some of the best up and coming Directors from across the world. Graduate and star of last year's Anifest, Suzie Templeton, went on to win the Oscar for her touching interpretation of Prokofiev's classic 'Peter and the Wolf'. Curated by Tim Webb, this screening promises to be a delightful and thought-provoking journey through the past 20 years as we rifle through the RCA archives searching for some forgotten gems

His work includes the widely acclaimed short film Rabbit, music visuals for U2 and Howie B, and commercials for Coca-Cola and Natwest.

It's bigger, it's better and it's back for another year of workshops, seminars and screenings for everybody to enjoy. One of this year's festival highlights celebrates the work of the Godfather of British Animation, Bob Godfrey. Home Grown Talent also makes a welcome return to the programme as we invite a host of young people to the Gulbenkian Theatre to showcase their films exploring who and what they are in the national search to create a Portrait of a Nation.

This exhibition explores the development of British animation for Children through the work of Bob Godfrey (Roobarb, Henrys Cat, Noah and Nelly, Bunbury Tales) and Peter Firmin (Small Films). Historically their work intersects in 1974 with the broadcasting of Roobarb and Bagpuss on the BBC. This exhibition will be accompanied by a series of workshops and events
