Plant photography illustrating the unusual, the abstract and the original. I offer a unique range of wall art, greetings cards and more.
I studied horticulture at Hadlow College in Kent and enjoyed a career in the garden centre industry, before working as an administrator and developing my IT skills further.
I have lived in Kent all my life and I am inspired by the county’s richness of formal and informal gardens and countryside. I like the simplicity that some of the more traditional plants offer by way of flower and leaf form – daisy type flowers for instance. Equally I like the startling, sometimes brash modern multi-petalled flowering cultivars – bedding plants instantly come to mind.
I have always been a keen photographer, so it has been really fulfilling to combine this with my horticultural knowledge. I present the majority of my photography in a slightly abstract way, to catch the eye, encouraging the viewer to examine more closely the plants in their own gardens.
I have exhibited my work at the Fish Slab Gallery in Whitstable on two occasions and the Creek Creative art & design studios in Faversham, Kent.
